The building went up in 1936 as a light industrial warehouse on Folsom at 10th. Steel-sash windows, trusses overhead, concrete underfoot. It spent most of a century as a place where things got made.
The system hangs overhead and everything else rolls, so the floor gets re-cut for whatever is coming through. Some nights that is a headliner and a full room. Other days it is a gallery, a launch, a long table, or just the front bar open late.
